In mid April I felt it pressed on my heart to provide meals for a local family in need. This family has a child with special needs and a parent who has dealt with a lot of health issues within the last year. I felt it would be nice to provide meals for a time so this family could take a break from cooking and provide them with some relief in this area of their life. I was also able to reach out to other parents who also have children with special needs to see if they would like to participate and help. We were able to provide about 7 meals over a period of several weeks. I am thankful that this allowed this family some relief and my hope is they were encouraged to know others were thinking of them and that they truly are not alone. When I think of Jesus I consider His character. He never turned anyone away and was always offering help or relieving burdens. Hopefully this gesture provided a tangible example of this.
